Six on a blanket, one corgi
I photographed this family in Roseville in October 2026. We started on a lawn under tall evergreens with a red plaid blanket on the grass and the sun coming through the branches behind them. Later we moved to a paved path beside a pond, with dry hills and houses across the water. Their corgi came too, in a white bandana printed with pink paw prints.
On the blanket the six of them sit close, the parents in the back row. In one frame the corgi sits up front with its tongue out while everyone behind it smiles at the camera. In another, the father kisses the mother’s cheek, and the other four throw their arms up behind them.
On the path, four of them walk toward the camera holding hands, with the corgi trotting between them on a pink leash and the parents standing a few steps back. I also photographed the parents from behind, arms around each other, watching the others walk up the path toward them. By the water, three of the women hold hands in a line, two of them smiling at each other.
At a wooden railing, one of the women lifts the corgi into a hug and grins over her shoulder at the camera. The last frame here is the corgi on the plaid blanket with a white stuffed toy balanced on its head.
