Who I am

Sofia Miyake Photography ("I," "me," or "my") is a photography business serving Roseville, Sacramento, and surrounding areas in California. This policy explains what information I collect through this website, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you submit an inquiry or book a session — through the contact form or the scheduling tool on the Bookings page — I collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the type of session you're interested in, and any details you include in your message.

Scheduling. Appointment booking is handled by Cal.com. When you book through the embedded scheduler, the information you enter is processed by Cal.com under its own privacy policy, available at cal.com/privacy.

Automatically collected information. This site does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. My hosting provider may log basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes.

How I use your information

• To respond to your inquiries and schedule sessions
• To communicate about your booking, gallery delivery, and services
• To maintain business records

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties except service providers needed to run the business (such as scheduling and email), or where required by law.

Your photos

Photographs from client sessions are shared publicly (on this website or social media) only with permission, as agreed in your session contract. If you'd like an image of you or your family removed from this site, contact me and I will take it down.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information I hold about you at any time. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To make a request, email me at the address below — I will respond within the time required by law and will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Data retention & security

I keep inquiry and booking information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal and tax record-keeping. Reasonable safeguards are used to protect it, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. Photographs of children are made only through sessions arranged and consented to by their parents or guardians.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
