It's more fun to be genuine

Not the version where everyone is still and staring at the camera. The real one — full of noise and movement and the particular way your kids laugh. That one is worth keeping.

I show up with a plan built around what you want from the session. I give kids something to do instead of somewhere to stand. And somewhere in the middle of the chaos, I find the photo you're going to print and hang on your wall.

Your family doesn't need to be ready. They just need to be themselves.

We plan together

Start with my inquiry form. We'll connect to talk location, your vision, and what kind of images you're hoping for. I'll have suggestions — but you know your family best.

We let it happen

Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, with as much direction as the day needs and no more.

You get your gallery

I deliver family galleries in three weeks and maternity galleries in two — edited, beautiful, and full of the images you'll actually want to share. Printed products are available too.

Where We Shoot

Wherever you feel at home

At home

Your living room, your backyard, your kitchen table. In-home sessions have a softness that's hard to replicate, and the comfort of known spaces.

Outdoors

Golden hour at Maidu Regional Park, the oak fields off Blue Oaks, Johnson-Springview over in Rocklin, or the Granite Bay shoreline when the light drops. Outdoor sessions give you open light and room to move. If you have a spot that means something, I'd love to hear about it.

A place that's yours

A favorite coffee spot in old town Roseville, the neighborhood you walk every morning, the park where your kids learned to ride bikes — Mahany, or wherever yours is. Meaningful locations make for meaningful photos.

Things people usually wonder

When should we book?
Anytime — there's no wrong season for family photos. That said, spring and fall book up quickly. If you have a milestone or holiday in mind, reach out at least 6–8 weeks ahead.
What if the kids won't sit still?
I give kids something to do instead of somewhere to stand. I let things get a little chaotic. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, with as much direction as the day needs and no more.
What should we wear?
The short version: coordinate without matching, lean into texture and layers, and wear something you actually feel good in. No matching white shirts required.
How long are sessions?
Family and fresh family sessions are an hour. Extended family sessions are 90 minutes, so there's room for group shots with everyone. I'd rather give you time to settle in than rush.
How many photos will we get?
Family, Fresh Family and Extended Family galleries typically include 50–80 edited images, delivered as high-resolution digital files in 3 weeks. Maternity galleries include 40+ edited images, delivered in 2 weeks. You'll have everything you need for prints, frames, albums, and the family group chat.
Do you offer printed products?
Yes — fine art prints, albums, and wall art are available. There's nothing like seeing your family on the wall of your own home.
Can we bring the dog?
Always yes. Dogs make every session better. (Cats are negotiable.)
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
For outdoor sessions, we'll keep an eye on conditions together and reschedule if needed — no fees for weather changes. I have a short list of beautiful indoor backups if you'd like a plan B.
What does a session cost?
Family sessions are $350 for an hour, $425 for a fresh family session at home or outdoors, and $495 for a 90-minute extended family session. Prints, albums and wall art are available separately.
